The Tranquil Developers You Selects IPL 2025 (Exhibition) served up another blockbuster at DCS You Selects Arena 2, Rahmaniyah, Sharjah, on September 28, 2025, as Tranquil Hawks Goa Strikers overwhelmed Kochi Kingsmen by 38 runs in a high-octane contest filled with fireworks, fightbacks, and fielding brilliance.
The Goa Strikers, sent in to bat, put on a batting exhibition that left the Kingsmen chasing leather. The innings was headlined by a magnificent ton from Ajay Saklani, who struck 116 off just 64 deliveries, lighting up the arena with ten boundaries and seven towering sixes. His strike rate of 181.25 ensured the tempo was electric throughout. He was ably supported by Arjun K Ramesh, whose 42 off 22 balls was a cameo of sheer audacity, peppered with seven fours and a six at nearly 200 strike rate. Divjot Singh Arora’s 40 off 22 further compounded Kochi’s misery, as the Strikers posted a colossal 240/4 in their allotted overs. Extras too played their part, with 29 runs handed on a platter, making the Kingsmen’s task even more daunting.
The Kochi Kingsmen, tasked with chasing a mammoth 241, launched a valiant reply. Arjun K Ramesh, who starred with the ball earlier, turned aggressor with the bat, hammering 42 from 22 balls in a whirlwind start. He found support from Jeffin Saad (29 off 17) and Mathew George (22 off 18), while Abijith’s 20 off 15 kept hopes alive in the middle overs. Riyas Abdullah’s unbeaten 24 off 12 provided a late flourish, but the chase faltered under the weight of scoreboard pressure. They finished on 202/8, spirited but 38 runs adrift. The Strikers’ bowlers kept their nerve under pressure, with Sachin Chhabra (3/32) and Omkar Ozardekar (2/32) delivering key breakthroughs. Muku’s clever spell of 1/26, including a caught-and-bowled dismissal, highlighted Goa’s all-round superiority.
