Tranquil Hawks Goa Strikers dismantled Team R One Deccan Strikers with a ruthless all-round display at DCS You Selects Arena 2 in the Tranquil Developers You Selects IPL 2025 (Exhibition). The Goa outfit bowled out their opponents for just 62 before knocking off the target in fewer than nine overs to underline their superiority.
The collapse of Deccan Strikers’ batting began almost immediately. After electing to bat, their innings was undone by sharp seam bowling. Only Sk (18 off 17) managed to find boundaries, striking four crisp fours, while the rest of the lineup folded under sustained pressure. The side was bundled out in 9.2 overs, posting a meagre 62 that never looked defendable.
The wreckage was caused by Goa’s incisive bowling pair. Omkar Ozardekar (4/14 in 3 overs) ripped through the top order with pace and accuracy, while Deven Uchil (3/10 in 2 overs) mopped up the lower half with ruthless efficiency. Their combined effort left Deccan shell-shocked and the crowd anticipating an early finish.
In pursuit of 63, Goa Strikers lost opener Sandeep early, but the chase was controlled from there. Ajay Saklani (34 not out from 19) played with authority, hitting four fours and two sixes at a strike rate of 178.95. He found support in Ratheesh Poojary (17 not out off 11), whose quick runs ensured the result was sealed with ease. The Strikers coasted home at 63/1 in 8.1 overs, claiming a nine-wicket victory.
The gulf in performance was clear: Goa combined discipline and aggression, while Deccan had little answer to the pressure.
