VDS Indore Chargers Dominate Kerala Super Kings with 50-Run Win

At DCS You Selects Arena 1, VDS Indore Chargers put together a complete performance to defeat Sloggers Kerala Super Kings by 50 runs in the Tranquil Developers You Selects IPL 2025 (Exhibition). Strong batting contributions from Nashir and Wadhwa set the platform before Indore’s bowlers, led by Shri and Raizal, dismantled the Super Kings’ chase.
Batting first, Indore piled on 167 for 6 in their allotted overs. Mohamed Nashir was the standout, blasting 52 off 29 balls with six fours and three sixes at a strike rate of 179.31. His fluent stroke play set the tone for the innings. After his dismissal at 73 for 1, the momentum was carried forward by Anish Wadhwa, unbeaten on 35 off 29 balls, who rotated the strike smartly while hitting three sixes. Useful cameos came from Deepak Rao (20 off 20) and Sheji Hydru (20 off 14), helping push the total to a competitive 167. Kerala’s bowlers had moments of success, with skipper Akhil Mohanan, Shafeek Bin Ashraf, and Sujith chipping in with a wicket apiece, but the extras tally of 11 highlighted their lack of control.
The chase from Kerala faltered early and never really recovered. Openers Abbas KT and Harikrishna showed intent, but after both were removed inside the first four overs, the batting order collapsed under scoreboard pressure. Azeem Ashraf’s 40 off 34 balls offered resistance, striking three fours and a six, but he lacked support. The middle order folded quickly as wickets fell in clusters, with only double figures from skipper Akhil Mohanan (10), Faisal TK (9), and Shafeek Bin Ashraf (6). The rest contributed little as Kerala were bundled out for 117 in 18.1 overs. Indore’s bowlers were relentless: Shri claimed 3 for 21, troubling batters with disciplined lines, while Nameer Bakhtiyar Palekar’s 3 for 19 and Raizal’s tight 2 for 11 ensured the Super Kings never stood a chance.
