In a high-octane contest of the Tranquil Developers You Selects IPL 2025 (Exhibition) at DCS You Selects Arena 3, Sharjah, cricket fans were treated to a masterclass in power-hitting and composure. The Tranquil Hawks Goa Strikers pulled off a breathtaking chase, defeating VDS Indore Chargers by three wickets in a last-over finish.
The Indore Chargers started aggressively after opting to bat. Despite losing opener Mohammed Nashir for a duck, Anish Wadhwa anchored the innings with sheer class, crafting a fluent 74 off 53 balls. His shot selection was elegant yet destructive, mixing deft placements with towering hits over long-on. Supporting him, Imran Ahmad’s 31 from 15 balls injected the momentum, while Raizal Nadir’s quickfire 24 kept the tempo alive. The Chargers concluded their innings on a strong note with 191/4 in 20 overs, their middle order showcasing textbook T20 aggression.
Goa Strikers’ bowlers found themselves under pressure early on, but Nameer Bakhtiyar Palekar and Omkar Ozardekar tightened the screws in the death overs. Both grabbed two wickets apiece, controlling the run flow at crucial moments. Despite some hard hitting from the Indore middle order, their disciplined approach ensured the target didn’t balloon beyond reach.
In response, Goa Strikers began shakily, losing three quick wickets inside the powerplay. However, the innings was revived spectacularly by Vinod Kumar K, who smashed 59 off just 31 balls with five maximums. His fearless stroke play combined with Revelino Fernandes’ captain’s knock of 30* off 15 balls steered Goa through choppy waters. With contributions from Jayesh DS (28) and Sachin Chhabra (21), the Strikers reached 195/7 with two balls to spare, sealing a memorable win and setting the Arena ablaze with excitement.
The final act was befitting of a T20 classic — tension, towering sixes, and tactical brilliance — perfectly encapsulating the spirit of the You Selects IPL 2025.
